This is close to the way that I personally make my gravy with the exceptions listed below that I highly suggest!
- After you add the flour add 1/2 tsp.salt and black pepper to taste
- Use oil or shortening instead of bacon fat
- Let flour cook a little longer than she did
- Do NOT add onion powder, garlic powder, poultry seasoning, or red pepper flake (as she suggested)
- The key to gravy is stir stir stir..... add milk as it thickens til u get the consistency you like, its better to add less at first and add milk as you go!
