How to remove scratches from CD's
and DVD's
- Wash the CD carefully in mild soapy water to remove any small
particles that might scratch the CD.
- Put the CD/DVD on a clean washcloth. DO NOT put it on a
ripped or dirty rag.
- Get a tube of toothpaste. Squirt a circle just on
the outside of the inner circle. Use your index finger to spread the
toothpaste.
- Lay the CD/DVD on a flat surface, and using your clean fingers
gently rub the toothpaste in small circular motions just as you would if
polishing your car.
- Leave the toothpaste on about five minutes.
6. Wash off the toothpaste with cool tap water. Make sure you get all of the toothpaste off.
7. Dry off the CD/DVD with a paper towel. Use a paper towel because some clothes aren't always soft and can cause further damage.
8. Make sure there is no excess toothpaste left.
9. There you go you have a minty fresh CD/DVD, good as new.
Very interesting post. Thanks for all those tips.
