Remove Scratches from CD's and DVD's

How to remove scratches from CD's and DVD's

  1. Wash the CD carefully in mild soapy water to remove any small particles that might scratch the CD.
  2. Put the CD/DVD on a clean washcloth. DO NOT put it on a ripped or dirty rag.
  3. Get a tube of toothpaste. Squirt a circle just on the outside of the inner circle. Use your index finger to spread the toothpaste.
  4. Lay the CD/DVD on a flat surface, and using your clean fingers gently rub the toothpaste in small circular motions just as you would if polishing your car.
  5. Leave the toothpaste on about five minutes.

6. Wash off the toothpaste with cool tap water. Make sure you get all of the toothpaste off.

7. Dry off the CD/DVD with a paper towel. Use a paper towel because some clothes aren't always soft and can cause further damage.

8. Make sure there is no excess toothpaste left.

9. There you go you have a minty fresh CD/DVD, good as new.
