1 Orange zested (optional)

1 sm. pkg. vanilla instant pudding or orange jello
1 tub Cool Whip
Juice from the Orange (optional)

(1.) Mix cake mix and can of orange soda with orange zest (zest optional) with mixer for 2 mins.

Pour into greased and floured 9"x13" pan. Bake as directed  time on package until cake comes clean from knife or toothpick. As soon as it is out of the oven, poke holes in it with a wooden spoon handle, or kitchen fork.

Pour the following over the hot cake with holes:

Mix pudding as directed on package, add juice from 1 orange when mixing (optional).
Fold in the Cool Whip and frost the chilled cake.

Instead of pudding use a pkg. of Orange Jello with juice from orange or 1/4 c. warm water then fold in cool whip.
Refrigerate 2 hours. Keep covered and serve when ready!
Serves 12.
